Have gone there a bunch of times, busy and slow. The staff are the perfect type of friendly and attentive. They get kudos for never letting my drink go empty. I ordered chicken salad thinking it was lettuce with chicken and it was chicken salad like you put on a sandwich. BEST mistake ever! It is now one of my favorites. Also i can't enough of their sweet potatoe fries. Good home cooking.
So I ordered the thing that I have ordered every single time I have ever come here, the thing that I was brought to this restaurant for the first time for, the BB's Breakfast (2 biscuits covered with sausage, potatoes, scrambled eggs, and gravy). This thing sounds super Southernly decadent, and it is. The biscuits are made in house, and the gravy is just everywhere, but the taste isn't too overwhelming. It's more of a vessel for the sausage and potatoes and the eggs to live in.
Great people, good food. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is because I’m from Louisiana and used to a little more spice in my food.
The food is ok, not really what I would consider "Southern" cooking, but certainly home style. Most of the veggies appear (and taste like) they come from a can. It wouldn't surprise me if the meats, burgers, and seafood were frozen as well. The meals are simple and filling at a reasonable price. To me, breakfast is definitely the high point of the menu, but not sure I'd order it for lunch or dinner here.
It's unfortunate (but likely true) that Texas Roadhouse is the best you're going to have in Milton.
I came to this place for a goodbye brunch I had before I left my hometown to come back to my current town, Orlando. I came here with a bunch of guys around 9AM on a Saturday, and I was expecting it to be packed, but turns out it was actually not too bad, and we got seated right away. The atmosphere and decor of this place was simple and effective. They try really hard (or not too hard at all) to be the simple, down home, country joint that cooks good food. The menu covers were license plates, which is a super nice touch.
Great family restaurant. Very unique. Come hungry and leave full and happy
Overall, this place is definitely an above average place if you want a nice, simple breakfast with no fancy stuff, and I definitely recommend this place if you're from around the area or even just visiting the Pensacola area. It's not too far out of the way.
The sausage is crumbled and good and peppery. The potatoes are in big cubes and crispy and cooked all the way through. And the eggs are scrambled. Everything just comes together and made one scrumptious dish. I saw my friends' waffles that they ordered, and I got jealous and ordered one myself. Cooked fresh and just what you want a waffle to be. I washed down my meal with their sweet tea, which is super sweet, just like you'd expect in the South.
